Cabinet Storage – Recommended Temperature Range

For hot climates, what is the ideal temperature range for storing KCD cabinets?

While we don’t have an officially published ideal temperature range, KCD cabinets are KCMA certified and undergo rigorous testing to ensure durability under various conditions. 

As part of the KCMA heat test, cabinet doors are placed in a 120°F hotbox for 24 hours to confirm they can withstand high temperatures without warping, discoloration, or material failure. 

📌 Best Practice: 

  • Store cabinets in a climate-controlled environment whenever possible. 
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme humidity, as both can affect finishes and materials over time. 

This ensures your cabinets remain in optimal condition prior to installation.
