What type of wood is used to make KCD’s new Floating Shelves?
Our floating shelves are built using cabinet-grade plywood with a veneer selected to best match the desired finish:
- Painted Finishes:
- White maple veneer on cabinet-grade plywood for a smooth, clean surface ideal for paint.
- Stained Finishes:
- Birch veneer on cabinet-grade plywood to better mimic natural woodgrain under stain.
- Oslo Oak:
- Rift cut white oak veneer is used to match the distinct vertical woodgrain pattern of the Oslo Oak cabinet line.
